The new English and EAL Study Design for 2023 includes the exciting new Crafting and Creating Texts Areas of Study. This session will explore both of the new Areas, including an in depth discussion of the rationale, planning, implementation, and assessment for both. The session will be recorded for all attendees and all resources made available after the event.

- A full discussion of Crafting Texts and Creating Texts
- An exploration of the rationale behind the new Areas of Study, why they have been included, and what VCAA intends to come from them
- Example activities
- A discussion of Ideas, Frameworks, and Mentor Texts
- Example assessment tasks and student outcomes
